The consultant’s report is now in the hands of ABCA and the steering committee. The next step will be posting the draft on the ABCA website. BSRA will be watching for that information to pass on.

The ABCA, on their website, promised meetings while cottagers were here. Have been awaiting such meetings on this shoreline management plan update. We need an update report BEFORE our Aug 27 AGM so we can intelligently ask questions. Otherwise, there WILL be alot of wasted time while hearing the info firsthand.
It appears from ABCA website that there is a delay to “later in 2017” for reports promised in 2016. There is alot of anxiety about the ABCA plan after what took place 23 years ago with the ABCA red and yellow zone crap they stuck us with.

How do we know when an open air fire burn has been cancelled? Do we contact our local fire department? Is it posted in a particular place on the internet? Thank you.

BSRA is watching the Municipality of Bluewater website. The media was very quick to let everyone know about the ban so hopefully they will also pass on the information when the ban is lifted. We will post the information as soon as we hear it.
